• Trial Experience: Represented individuals in countless divorce trials and contested custody proceedings, managing complex factual and legal issues.
• Diverse Legal Practice: Experience in criminal law, civil litigation, bankruptcy, and other legal matters. Served as second chair in significant civil jury trials, contributing to strategy, witness preparation, evidentiary argument, and trial presentation.
• Appellate Experience: Appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada, the Nevada Supreme Court, the Nevada Court of Appeals, the Eighth Judicial District Court, tribal courts, and specialty courts.
• Published Decisions and Writs: Appellate work includes published decisions such as the notable case entitled Myers v. Haskins and Seput v. Lacayo, M.D., as well as successful appeals and writ relief in both civil and family law matters.
• Judicial Skills and Philosophy: Extensive trial and appellate experience and a diverse legal background equips Patricia to serve the bench with preparation, impartiality, and a thorough understanding of how decisions at every level affect families and the community. Committed to fairness, consistency, and the rule of law.
